Lake Kinzie Industrial Leadership Council

An Open Letter to Westside Industrial Business Owners / Managers and Valued Members:

Lake Kinzie is Your dedicated industrial liaison.  We are an independent nonprofit organization working with the City of Chicago, industrial businesses, financial institutions, real estate development companies, and surrounding community and community partners on the revitalization of economic competitiveness, sustainable development, job creation, and retention of business on the West Side of Chicago.

The Greater Westside of Chicago Businesses and Communities are in need of many resources and support.  That is why Lake Kinzie is launching our Campaign this year to work with all Businesses within our service  area, giving membership to ALL!!  We are the only agency willing to work to help bring resources, benefits and answers to your business needs without direct costs to you!

Our mission is to promote revitalization through fostering sustainable economic development, real estate development, economic competitiveness, job creation, business retention, and new business creation. We facilitate opportunities and provide resources that benefit the businesses as well as the overall communities on the West Side of Chicago.

Lake Kinzie is committed to helping businesses reach their goals and to improving their day-to-day experience and involvement within the community.

We will assist businesses that demonstrate need for or want our help!  We only ask that you make a donation to help support the great work that we do to help pay the costs of administering our services that we hope will improve the your overall and day-to-day experience as a business owner.  Currently we are working with businesses within the Northwest Industrial Corridor and businesses within our service area on the Greater Westside. Our service area generally includes the areas south of Chicago Ave.,  Harrison Street, Kedzie and east of Austin.

At Lake Kinzie, we are focused on promoting and attracting economic development and investment to the West side of Chicago.

At Lake Kinzie, we are focused on bringing all stakeholders together to address and discuss issues, challenges and steps to resolution in areas of infrastructure improvements, safety and crime, available resources for industrial businesses, and creating an industrial business park aesthetic for all industrial areas, thereby  to assist all businesses with a stronger & identifiable voice to address concerns, promote investment and development for the entire area, and provide a forum for continued good relations between all entities.

In this role, we work with several businesses, financial institutions, real estate advisors/ brokers, city and state officials providing a voice and vision for the industrial businesses, conveying their business interests and needs as well as promoting and providing assistance with City and State funding resources, services and programs.  Lake Kinzie is sponsored in part by the Chicago Department of Planning and Development and by the contributions of local businesses, individuals, and institutions.  We have the support of the local Aldermen and the local businesses to move forward with several initiatives that I created to address the challenges of bringing new development and investment in the community, safety and security and improving the infrastructure.
